Reports in the UK on Tuesday say that Manchester United has formally offered Zlatan Ibrahimovic one year contract with option of further year but Swedish football wonder will only move to Old Trafford if a certain ‘Special One’ is at the reigns of managerial activities of the club.
Quoting reports in France, The Sun UK says that Ibrahimovic will only move to Manchester United if Jose Mourinho is in charge.
The British tabloid says that RMC, which broke the news of Anthony Martial’s transfer to Old Trafford, claims the Red Devils have contacted the Swede over a possible move
United is so far the only club to have made an offer to Ibrahimovic, despite continuous stories over interest from the likes of Chelsea, West Ham and MLS sides, being the only club team willing to match his £225,000-a-week wage demands.
The 34-year-old appears to be extremely interested in moving to Old Trafford.
The former Juventus and Barcelona frontman was extremely critical of Louis van Gaal in his autobiography — so the Swede’s arrival would surely mean the end for the Dutchman.
It was also claimed Zlatan asked for guarantees over who would be United manager next season.
Ibrahimovic has won 13 titles across Holland, Italy, Spain in France but the Champions League trophy has always eluded him.
