Olivier Giroud scored a hat-trick as Arsenal comfortably defeated Aston Villa 3-0 at the Emirates to seal a second-placed finish in the Premier League.Tottenham lost 5-1 at Newcastle on the final day of the season, meaning the Gunners' victory was enough to confirm them as runners-up to champions Leicester City.
Giroud struck in the fifth minute, before adding two in quick succession in the 78th and 80th minutes, while a Mark Bunn own goal then deepened Villa's misery as Arsene Wenger's men signed off in style in north London.
