Gunmen on Sunday invaded the Ishawo area of Ikorodu, a Lagos suburb, and abducted nine persons.
The attack, the latest onslaught by militants against riverine communities in Lagos and Ogun States, was said to have occurred while worshippers were returning from church services.
According to a woman, Oludasola who claimed her brother was among the victims, the gunmen were increasing in number and attacking areas close to the creeks.
